- previously would have different SHA1 depending on whether the
string was a C-string, a C++-string or if the SHA1 was calculated
directly or via the OSHA1stream.
- SHA1("string")
- OSHA1stream << "string";
- OSHA1stream << string("string");
By avoiding string quoting on output, they now all deliver the same
result. This also means that the following will no longer change the SHA1
content, since it does not add anything:
osha<< string() << string() << string() << string();
This would have previously add a pair of double quotes each time!
- resets the output buffer completely - implementing what rewind was
likely meant to have accomplished for many use cases.
STYLE: OSHA1stream reset() for symmetry. Deprecate rewind().
- use allocator class to wrap the stream pointers instead of passing
them into ISstream, OSstream and using a dynamic cast to delete
then. This is especially important if we will have a bidirectional
stream (can't delete twice!).
STYLE:
- file stream constructors with std::string (C++11)
- for rewind, explicit about in|out direction. This is not currently
important, but avoids surprises with any future bidirectional access.
- combined string streams in StringStream.H header.
Similar to <sstream> include that has both input and output string
streams.
- Place common code under OSspecific.
By including "endian.H", either one of WM_BIG_ENDIAN or WM_LITTLE_ENDIAN
will be defined.
Provides inline 32-bit and 64-bit byte swap routines that can be
used/re-used elsewhere.
The inplace memory swaps currently used by the VTK output are left for
the moment pending further cleanup of that code.
- added class OSHA1stream for a stream-based calculation method
- dictionary gets digest() method
- dictionaryEntry tweak: avoid trailing space after dictionary keyword
